Under the Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme (MBIS) and Mandatory Window Inspection Scheme (MWIS), owners of private buildings aged 30 years or above and 10 years or above (excluding domestic buildings not exceeding 3 storeys) respectively, upon receiving statutory notices from the Buildings Department, must appoint a Registered Inspector to conduct the prescribed inspection for the common parts, external walls, and projections or signboards of the building, and appoint a Qualified Person to conduct the prescribed inspection for all windows in the building, and supervise any prescribed repair works found necessary after the inspection.

If there are obstacles at the construction site, the client must clear them; otherwise, an additional fee will apply.
If there is no electricity supply at the construction floor, a separate fee will be charged.
